The Asian Universities Alliances Youth Forum 2019 (AUAYF 2019) press conference was held at the Senate Hall of the University of Colombo on the 6th of November 2019. The aim was to brief on the three major activities (The Asian Universities Alliances Executives’ Meeting 2019 – AUAEM 2019, Annual Research Symposium 2019 and Asian Universities Alliances Youth Forum – AUAYF 2019 ) which are to be held at the University of Colombo from the 21st of November to 29th of November 2019 organized by the University of Colombo.

Senior Professor Chandrika Wijeratne, Vice-chancellor of the University of Colombo and current Executive President of Asian Universities Alliance, expressed on the nature of the programs and their expectations. Professor Naazima Kamardeen, the Chair of the Annual Research Symposium, Dr. Chathuranga Ranasignhe, Chair or the AUAFY 2019 local organizing committee and Dr. Shashika Manoratne, Director of the International Office of the University were also express the preparedness of the universities and more details about the events. Miss. Sahani Chandraratne, Communication Officer, World Helth Organization (WHO), also share her thoughts on the event and involvement of WHO.
